By using TrueHire's products or services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Notice and agree to its terms, including granting TrueHire permission to process your Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

- identity data, such as name, National Identity Number/NIK, and email address;
- identity verification information, including records indicating whether a phone number may be associated with another person's identity;
- background check data, including employment history, education history, criminal records, where applicable, and professional qualifications, collected with your consent or the consent of the relevant Data Subject;
- device and usage information, such as IP address, device type, operating system, and interaction logs; and
- information from third parties, such as public databases or authorized background check providers.
2. Processing of Personal Data
TrueHire may collect your Personal Data through the following methods:
- directly from you, when you register, enter a phone number, or request a background check;
- through appointment or instruction by the company where you work or may work, subject to your consent;
- from third-party sources, such as public registries, government data portals, or lawful background check providers; and
- from your use of our services, including technical data collected automatically, such as device information and IP address.
TrueHire ensures that any collection of data from third parties is carried out lawfully and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
TrueHire may share your Personal Data with the following parties where necessary:
- employers or organizations requesting a background check, subject to your appropriate consent;
- lawful third-party background check providers or data processors;
- government agencies or regulators, where required by law; and
- TrueHire's technical service providers, solely to support TrueHire's systems and operations.
TrueHire does not sell your Personal Data. Any sharing of Personal Data will be carried out with appropriate safeguards, contractual arrangements, and data protection commitments.
3. Legal Basis for Processing
TrueHire processes your Personal Data based on the following legal bases:
- Consent, when you voluntarily provide Personal Data or request a background check through the TrueHire application;
- Legitimate interest, particularly for fraud prevention and identity verification; and
- Compliance with legal obligations, where applicable, including for law enforcement purposes requested by the relevant government authorities.
4. Purposes of Processing
TrueHire processes your Personal Data for the following purposes:
- to verify whether your phone number is connected or associated with another person's identity;
- to conduct background checks for employment, security, or legal purposes, subject to valid consent;
- to prevent identity fraud and unauthorized use of Personal Data; and
- to improve TrueHire's services and ensure system security.
TrueHire will not process your Personal Data for purposes other than those stated in this Privacy Notice without your explicit consent, unless such processing is carried out based on lawful instruction from the relevant Personal Data Controller or as otherwise permitted by applicable laws and regulations.
5. Data Subject Rights
In accordance with the Indonesian Personal Data Protection Law, Law No. 27 of 2022 ("PDP Law"), you have the following rights in relation to your Personal Data:
- Right to information: You have the right to obtain information regarding the clarity of identity, legal basis, purpose of request, use, and accountability of the party requesting your Personal Data.
- Right of access: You may request access to Personal Data stored by TrueHire.
- Right to rectification: You may request correction of inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.
- Right to erasure: You may request deletion of Personal Data where it is no longer necessary or where you withdraw your consent.
- Right to withdraw consent: You may withdraw your consent to the processing of Personal Data at any time.
- Right to object: You may object to automated decision-making actions.
- Right to restrict processing: You may restrict the processing of Personal Data proportionally in accordance with the purpose of Personal Data processing.
- Right to claim compensation: You may file a claim and receive compensation for violations of Personal Data processing.
- Right to data portability: You may request a copy of your Personal Data in a structured and commonly used format.
Such requests may be submitted reasonably and will be processed after verification. TrueHire may refuse a request if fulfilling the request would conflict with TrueHire's legal obligations, the rights and freedoms of other parties, or applicable laws and regulations.

6. Data Retention
TrueHire retains your Personal Data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Notice, taking into account your subscription period, or as required by applicable laws and regulations in Indonesia.
When your Personal Data is no longer required, when you withdraw your consent, and/or when your subscription period has expired, TrueHire will securely delete or anonymize the data.
TrueHire will retain data related to background checks for the duration of the subscription period or for the period permitted by law or contract with the user, and no longer than necessary.
7. Data Security
TrueHire is committed to ensuring that your Personal Data is protected. TrueHire implements appropriate technical, organizational, and administrative measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your Personal Data.
These measures may include:
- encryption and access controls for sensitive data;
- secure data storage and transmission practices;
- restricted access based on roles and responsibilities; and
- periodic system audits and vulnerability assessments.
Although TrueHire strives to protect your Personal Data, no system is completely secure. Therefore, TrueHire cannot guarantee absolute security. However, TrueHire will notify you in the event of a data breach in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
8. Changes to this Privacy Notice
TrueHire may update this Privacy Notice from time to time at its sole discretion without requiring your prior consent.
